Here today

Often, my Wellness Tips of the Day and blogs are as much for me as my Fabulous Readers.

Today is definitely one of those days.

Stop Struggling. Let go of trying to control your body—and life. Accept where you are and focus on appreciating your wellness right now.

Co-creating your body and life with Source (God, the Universe, All-That-Is—whatever works for you) is a balance of taking control of your inner Queendom AND letting go of control of HOW your wellness will play out.

You can’t tell God how to do Her job. (Even when it comes to your body.)

You know you’re trying to control when you are:

  • Focused on only 1 outcome as acceptable (i.e. You may have arbitrarily decided that you have to be a certain weight or look a certain way to accept yourself as slim and attractive, totally discounting what is healthy and optimal for your body.)
  • Judging the results as unwanted or not good enough (You wanted to lose 5 pounds in a week and the 2 pounds you did lose feels like failure.)
  • Judging yourself—or others—as wrong/bad/a failure (Your partner doesn’t want to eat the same foods as you, so you make their food choices “wrong.”)
  • The action you do take is hard. (Everything literally feels like a struggle)
  • Feeling negative emotion (Disappointment, frustration, sadness are all signs that you have an expectation of how things “should” play out that isn’t being met—and you aren’t giving the Universe room to work.)

It seems counter intuitive, but to create the body—and life—you want you have to relax and let go of the struggle.

Your thoughts can hold you fast in the very place you don’t want to be as you struggle and complain, try to control life, and push against.

My body often has to shout at me with pain to let me know I’m in the struggle.

I’m getting better at listening and not just pushing through the pain with intense exercise . . . anyway.

Over the past several weeks, this has looked like skipping several workouts and seeking body work to help my body heal.

I’ve also been tuning into my internal guidance and emotion to figure out where I’m focused on what I DON”T want rather than what I DO want.

This is like blocking a stream with a large rock.

One way to release the struggle—and to remove the rock—and get back into the flow is to:

  • Accept where you are (I have the opportunity to rest and recover from these minor injuries. I know this is temporary and is a gift in the long run)
  • Appreciate what you DO have (I have my incredible body, connection to Source, and my overall wellness and wellbeing).

The more you relax and appreciate, the more you allow life to unfold and present you with the opportunities that are even better than you anticipated.

This can look like:

  • Discovering a healthy eating plan that both you and your partner enjoy
  • Finding an exercise class you adore
  • Learning of a coach that you intuitively know has solutions that will work for you.

Letting go of the struggle, even for a few moments a day, can make a huge difference in your body—and life.

Some ways to practice letting go of the struggle are through:

  • Meditation
  • Prayer
  • Exercise
  • Listening to uplifting music
  • Reading inspiring information
  • Doing something really fun and soul-satisfying
  • Laughing with friends

Do anything that allows you to quiet your mind or change the subject, even for just a few minutes.

The more you practice letting go of the struggle, not only do you feel better right now, but you make it so much easier to create the body you really want.

Together we can do it!
